Youth League
Youth Curling (Ages 6-17)
Youth Program: Saturdays from 10AM – 11:45AM OR 1:15pm – 3PM
You pick your primary ice time for the half season. Some flexibility may be possible depending on registration numbers week to week – the league convener will reach out to everyone after their registration but before the season begins to select your preference.
Much like our Pebbles program, this is a great place for kids to learn the basics of the game, but we’re now using full sized 42~ pound granite rocks. Age differences in youth curling once you can throw a stone to the other end, doesn’t have as much impact as the difference in years curling experience. Most of our youth curlers have 2 or less years’ experience. The 105 minute sessions are broken up with a short hot chocolate (or juice box) and snack (usually popcorn) break. The first part of our sessions we have on Ice guidance and instruction provided through our coaches and parent volunteers (drills / skill development). The second part of our session after the break is full sheet game play.
For the fall schedule, our first date is October 19th with every Saturday after that finishing on December 21st.
For the winter schedule, our first date is January 4th finishing on April 5th. There will be a number of Saturdays with no curling spread out in that period with 8-9 weeks anticipated to curl.
All kids require a clean pair of indoor running shoes to go onto the ice with and anyone under the age of 12 must wear a helmet. We recommend CSA approved helmets, but bike helmets will also do.
Sunday - Open Social
Sunday Open Social Winter is a social evening league for adult male & female members. There are two sessions of 8 weeks each. First session begins play in September; second session begins play in January. Curlers meet and play with many other members. There are three draws beginning at 3:00 pm.

Pebbles Curling
Pebbles Curling (Ages 4-6)
Pebbles Program: Saturdays from 8:50AM – 9:50AM.
This program is a great place for young kids to learn the basics of the game with a huge emphasis on having fun and meeting new friends. Our pebble curlers use our lighter weight rocks in their introduction to curling. We’ll work on balance & safety on the ice, understand scoring, practice throwing rocks and have short games from the hack to near house, as well as half sheet games. When our pebble curlers are able to throw a little rock the whole length of a sheet, they may be strong enough for Youth Curling next.
Until your child is comfortable moving around on the ice by themselves, parent support on the ice is recommended and welcomed all season.
