- The first recorded game of curling on Altrive Lake occurred

- Galt Curling Club was formed
- 1841
- Galt Curling Club elected their first club President (Mr. William Dickson, the founder of Galt) and set formal club rules
- 1866
- Galt Curling Club joined the Canadian Branch of the Royal Caledonian Curling Club
- 1875
- Galt Curling Club was one of the founding clubs of the Ontario Branch of R.C.C.C., which later became the Ontario Curling Association. We've had 4 GCC members serve as President of the OCA.
- 1877
- Our unique and iconic fireplace, made of old curling stones, was built.
- 1878
- The longest-serving building for our curling club was built, with 2 sheets of curling ice and a ice-hockey rink
- 1881
- Galt Granite Club was formed, sharing the same facilities. These two clubs amalgamated in 1930
- 1951
- Women were now welcome at the club, with both ladies and mixed games.
- 1967
- Business Ladies Section was added to the club
- 1990
- Our club relocated to it's new location, with help from the relocation committee (Dave Bartleman, Richard Bullock, Ken Cox, John Jacobs, Bill Meyer, Louise O’Brien, Kathy Wilkins and Jim Broomfield.) our fireplace was moved to the new location.
- 2009
- With the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, we added enhanced insulation eneath the ice playing surface.
- 2013
- Our 175th Anniversary
- 2018
- Our compressor gets a much needed replacement, with the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation
- 2022
- With the generous support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, we get a new dehumidifier
- 2023
- Our 185th Anniversary!
