Welcome back to our annual Swing and Sweep season kick of event!

This year's event will tee off at 8am at Grand Valley Golf located on Roseville Rd in Cambridge. It will be a shortgun start with all foursomes playing holes on both the front and back halves of the course in a best ball format. Teams will then make their way to the curling club for some tastey catered BBQ lunch so please make sure to let us know about any allergies your team may have. After lunch we'll be sliding out onto the ice for 8 ends worth of curling with a twist. Choose your teams wisely as everyone must compete in both golf and curling - no substitution here. This event is open to members and non-members alike. All participants must be 18 years or older.

Team entry is $560 + HST ($140 per player) and must be paid by credit card upon registration.

Registration opens August 5 at 10am.

Single player entry event. $20 per player - Ages 7 and under as of Dec 31st

Gametimes will be in the morning for the 7U group with either 30 minutes or 1 hour between your 2 games.  Your aprox schedule will be sent out prior to game day when our registration numbers have been finalized.

• Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your first game.
• Singles curling is 1v1, no sweeping, half sheet, a coach/parent in the house to help suggest the shot/ hold broom
• full sized rocks are used, but they are not granite... or even rock - they are roughly half the weight.
• 4 ends played of 4 rocks each. Prior to game 1 only, 2 practice throws each. The first rock thrown per end cannot be eliminated from play by the next stone, even if in the house – replaced as in free guard zone rules.
• Pools of 4 players – game 2 winners play winners, runners up play runners up.
• All competitors receive a medal – “Gold” for winning both, “Silver” for winning 1, “Bronze” for coming to compete. Medals distributed through the day as the pool events finish.
• In the event of a Tie – Draw to the button measurement tie breaker

Helmets are required for all youth participants.

12U four person team event. $160 per team - Ages 12 and under as of Dec 31st.

• Teams will play two 4 end games for event final seeding purposes, where a third and final 6 end game will be played.
• Aprox game times are 9AM, 12:10PM & 4PM
• Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your first game.
• Food/ drinks/ snacks provided to curlers and a team coach
• Between games, each team will also play a "singles" (1 curler vs 1 curler) curling game of 4 rocks per end, 4 ends.  1 player plays the first 2 ends, a different player plays the last 2 ends - there is no sweeping.  Same 2 players can be used for both games, or you can spread it out over 3 or 4 curlers - depending on interest.  These 2 singles games will be used for additional seeding points to your event final game.
• Coaching permitted(except for the 1v1 games - but they will stand at the scoring end to catch rocks) while the other team has rock posession.  When the other teams delivering stone comes to rest - no more coaching till your next delivered stone comes to rest.
• Event Finals are the Trophy game, the Gold game, and the Silver game.  Hardware awarded to both teams of the Trophy event, and only the winners of the Gold and silver games.

Helmets are required for all participants regardless of age.

Capacity for 6 teams.

15U Triples event. $120 per team - Ages 15 and under as of Dec 31st.

• Teams of 3 will play 3x 6 end games.  4 teams playing round robin.
• Aprox game times are 10:20AM, 1:30PM & 6:15PM
• Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your first game.
• Food/ drinks/ snacks provided to curlers and a team coach
• Coaching permitted while the other team has rock posession.  When the other teams delivering stone comes to rest - no more coaching till your next delivered stone comes to rest.
• Winning Hardware provided to the top 2 of 4 teams.
• Largely following Curling Canada’s Triples Curling rules - players rotate positions every 2 ends.
• full details of triples rules & tiebreaking sent out in advance of game day.

Helmets are required for any participant under the age of 12.

 As we try this new event this year, only room for 4 teams.
